About The Living Well Institute Transition
I’m joyfully announcing that as my firstborn child prepares to leave the nest next year, the certification and continuing education courses I have taught and administered for nearly 20 years, will also be flying the nest.
The work will continue, but I will no longer be at the helm.
This is bittersweet, and absolutely necessary.
For nearly 2 decades, I have raised my children and business at the same time – alongside and literally inside live CEU courses I was teaching.
My students have always been just as important to me as my children – mentoring both at the same time was a joy and an honor.
Now, I am over the moon to be watching my life’s work fly the nest and land in a new home!
The need for this evolution has grown on me for years now, as I watch all the wonderful colleagues I have mentored and taught across the globe, become experts in their own right.
Now is the time.
How the Transition Will Work
2024 will mark the end of Living Well Institute as a CEU provider, after over 2 decades in the CEU space. As the oldest therapeutic yoga certification for healthcare providers worldwide, I am proud of our teamwork, graduating more than 29 cohorts and training thousands of therapists.
My flagship Medical Therapeutic Yoga & Integrative Lifestyle Medicine Certifications, and all CEU coursework, will be moving to a new platform, with new management and leadership!
I am excited to announce that you will have multiple places to find my courses and certifications.
I want to take a moment to thank ALL the staff and employees that have worked at Living Well Institute over the years.
We have always been woman-owned, woman-powered, and family run. We are the classic definition of a small family business.
I could not have accomplished what I have in bringing therapeutic yoga, and integrative and lifestyle medicine into PT and OT, and healthcare in general, without your bright minds and dedicated work. THANK YOU.
What will Ginger be up to?
I will still teach CEU!
I am actively searching for opportunities in research on the voice and pelvic floor connection so I can help more musicians play and sing better. I am also actively searching for partners to help me reach more folks with hip dysplasia, hypermobility, and post hip arthroscopy (or those looking to avoid surgery).
Garner Pelvic Health is Hiring!
I am actively hiring at Garner Pelvic Health! I need pelvic health pros! I’m searching for a pelvic PT or OT as well as nutritionist, mental health provider, doula, lactation consultant, or other pelvic health pro to join us. Email info@garnerpelvichealth.com with your cover letter and resume.
My New Podcast, Living Well, Can Grow!
I am actively searching for new folks to interview on my Living Well Podcast. If you are actively working to end medical gaslighting, especially in pelvic health – talk to me.
Get In Touch & Invite Me To Speak, Teach, or Interview
I will just be teaching through GPHAM, Embodia, and Herman & Wallace instead. Looking to invite me to teach? Interested in having me do a lecture? Or want to have me on a podcast?
I am free and happy to oblige!
Email us at info@integrativelifestylemed.com or info@garnerpelvichealth.com for inquiries.
If you are Enrolled at Living Well Institute as a Healthcare Provider
Our provider status will continue until their natural expiration dates. For PT this is 1 year from now and for OT this is August of 2024. Please understand these dates are approximate as we wait for our renewals to be approved.
After this time LWI will no longer be a CEU provider. Instead, our new partnership will pick up the CEU torch and carry it.
We will be helping our final students matriculate. This includes those who have started the MTY and ILM Certifications and/or the Hip course. This will require everyone who wants CEU’s to finish their coursework no later than the dates listed above.
If you are Enrolled at Living Well Institute taking Wellness Classes
Your classes will still be available to you as in the original terms. Nothing will change here. We will be creating new, exciting offerings, so stay tuned and watch our newsletter for those. Sign up here to join our bimonthly newsletter, The Longevity Lab.
FAQ for those currently enrolled at LWI
Can I finish my certification at LWI?
Yes! You can – but if you want CEU’s for it, it must be completed by August 2024. The date could turn out to be later based on our provider status (and the particular state(s) in which you hold your license, however this is a good date to shoot for. That means if you signed up for L3 as it exists now, you must finish it prior to this date. Otherwise, you can take L3 with a new provider, however it can only provide you with 13 CEU’s as opposed to the 38 it provides now. This will be due to the L3 module becoming entirely virtual.
Will my credits for ILM, MTY1, and MTY2 be taken into account with the new CEU providers?
Yes! In order to get your certification with one of the 3 new providers, you’ll simply have to prove your previous completed coursework and whatever subsequent courses you take with them in order to become fully certified in Medical Therapeutic Yoga.
Do we still need to submit the 100 hour CEU log to maintain our PYT status?
Please continue to submit the CEU log until fall of 2024. At that time, your credential will continue without having to renew. This is a big load off for many, as renewals are tedious, even though ours has never been expensive. But we feel it’s no longer necessary to require renewal after fall of 2024. You can still use your credential and we encourage you to do so, as the certification programs are continuing.
Will the Provider and Pro memberships stay in place?
The Membership status will no longer be required once LWI course transition is complete. This means you will need to renew your membership UNTIL LWI winds down. This is because we continue to provide resources inside the memberships, which comes at an expense to us, including payroll and website maintenance.
Memberships will end in the fall of 2024, so please continue to renew until that time, and membership costs will be pro-rated to reflect the new end date.
The video classes we’ve purchased, where will we have access to those (still on the LWI website)?
You will have access to the workshops for the life of that workshop (these are public classes), which is typically 5 years. They will continue to live without interruption on the ILM.com site.
Do we still need to complete a CCC project, or when is it due by?
If you plan to graduate in 2024, you will need to complete the CCC project. It is due by fall of 2024. The final graduating class, and any other students still working on graduating, will need to submit all paperwork prior to October 2024, for it to be approved and your graduation processed. Please submit your ideas and assignments to ginger@gingergarner.com OR jess@gingergarner.com
Will the CEU coursework and videos remain accessible after the CEU deadline?
Just as the website has always stated, any CEU courses will remain available for the life of the CEU course. This is typically 3-5 years. So after the last CEU is sold on the LWI site, which will be sometime in early 2024, approximately 3 years from that date the coursework will expire and be retired. This means it will be permanently deleted from the ILM.com site.
What will happen to the Find a Therapist page?
The find a therapist page will remain functional through 2024, so please continue to update your listing appropriately. After that time, the new Find a Therapist page will be relocated to GPHAM. There is no action needed on your part at this time. You will receive an email in order to renew your listing on GPHAM (Pelvic Global) when the time comes.
Have additional questions?
We totally understand! Send them to kc@gingergarner.com and we’ll answer and update this page too.
