LWI Annual CEU Guidelines and Submittal
Please review the guidelines below:
Hours must follow the rules of individual study as set forth by LWI.
The following requirements must be met:
- Type of experience must fall under categories 1-5 below and must be labeled as such for each individual hour.
- 30 hours annually for Level I, and II certification; 100 hours for PYT certification, and then 100 hours annually thereafter to maintain PYT certified status.
- These hours can be a combination of non-contact and contact hours.
*If a Medical Therapeutic Course is attended, then a total of only 20 hours must be earned for that year. Documentation must be kept from the course for proof of attendance in case you are chosen for a random audit by LWI.
You may use the template below or any journal format of your choice. If you do not use the journal template, be sure to provide at a minimum a charting of when you engaged in personal practice. When you’re reflecting on the effect and notes on your practice, think about how the practice impacted you personally and professionally.

| 1. Techniques Training/Practice: This includes asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, and meditation. These hours include both training in the techniques and the practice of them. | |
| 2. Teaching Methodology: This includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, instruction, study of teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, and the process of learning. | |
| 3. Philosophy/Ethics/Lifestyle: This includes the study of Yoga scriptures (yoga sutras, bhadavad gita, etc), ethics for yoga teachers living the life of a yogi, etc. | |
| 4. Anatomy/Physiology: This includes both physical anatomy and physiology and energy/subtle/intangible anatomy and physiology (chakras, etc.) | |
| 5. Practicum: This includes student teaching as well as observing and assisting in classes taught by others. | |
