PYTI students Tania Shearon, MOT, CHT, PYT-C, and Janine Joyce, MOTR/L, NBCMT, 200 hour, will be teaching MTY for the High Level Neuro Patient for ArizOTA’s Neuro Speciality Interest Group on November 14. The following is from their flier about the event:
Join us for a 6 hour class designed to teach how Medical Therapeutic Yoga can be incorporated into your practice. The day will include lectures on the background, guidelines and biopychosocial model of Professional Yoga Therapy and how it can be applied to the high level neurologically impaired patient. Participants will be taught breathwork and a short meditation which can be used with patients. We will learn the Functional Movement Assessment poses in a hands on lab. The course will end with a full yoga practice taught to the participants.

Tania Shearon, MOT, CHT, PYT-C
Tania has been an OT since 1992 and a CHT since 2000. She is LSVT BIG certified and completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training through YogaFit. She is a staff OT at Honor Health Shea- Outpatient Campus treating both orthopedic and neurologically impaired patients. Tania is currently in the process of completing her Professional yoga therapy degree.
Janine Joyce, MOTR/L, NBCMT, 200 hour RYT, PYT-C
Janine has been an OT since 2007 and Board certified massage therapist since 1999. She is a staff OT at Life Care Center of Las Vegas.  Janine is currently in the process of completing her Professional yoga therapy degree.
