On April 26, 2016, I lectured the Senior class for 3 1/2 hours on MTY and had a lab and a yoga class.
This was a great exercise for me to assimilate the information I have learned and shared the FMA with the PT students. As part of the lab, I divided them up in to groups of 6 (there were 35 of them) and had them each take a body part diagnosis: low back, cervical, shoulder, knee, hip and ankle and asked them to take 5 poses out of the the FMA that would be beneficial to their patient and present to the rest of the class as to why. I have never lectured in a University setting before and I was happy I was able to do it. This was also the first time I ever taught a yoga class. Probably the hardest part was the transitions from supine to sit to stand and making a smooth flowing sequence.
